SATURNIA 2009
The 13th Hendrixiana event was two days and nights of beautiful celebration of Jimi's music and of course there was lovely food and wine as well.
Our drummer Bouke could not be with us, so we had the chance to play with Olve Strelow from Germany for the first time. That was great.
On Friday we did a tribute jam to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock with "Voodoo Child (S.R.)", "Star Spangled Banner", "Purple Haze" and "Villanova Junction".
On Saturday we played "If 6 was 9", "Tax Free" and "Machine Gun".
This year there was a band doing a "Ten years after" set and one doing a "Cream " tribute.
The sound of the PA was much better than last year because the guitar amps were turned a different angle and there was a new mixing table, Marco and co.
did a fabulous job.
On Saturday late evening ist started to rain ! Fortunately after awhile it stopped and the equipment was partly dried with a hairdryer !
I want to say "Thank You" to everybody involved and especially Alvise and Mauro for the beautiful time we spent. Ciao everyone, I hope to see you all next year.
